Whether it's at training camp or during the regular season, I am sick of sports media complaining about lack of access to practices or a lack of information about injuries etc., from coaches. As a fan, it doesn't matter to me if I'm told a player has an upper body injury or something more specific. If they're hurt or not going to play, they're hurt or not going to play.

This is the way it is. They know this is they way it is. Don't tell me you don't like it because you want to be able to provide as much information as you can for fans. You don't care about the fans, you care about having to work a little harder to find something to talk or write about.

This morning I hard Mulligan complain about John Fox and all the "cloak and dagger stuff", to which Hanley, to his credit, said "all teams do that." Later I heard Goff complaining about the same thing about Fox. Jeff Dickerson has said similar things during his Bears reports. Pat Tomasulo and Mark Giangreco have both complained about not having any footage from training camp to show, saying "The Bears won't let us film anything during practice so I guess you can't see clips of guys jogging through plays or walking around." If the footage you'd get is so meaningless in the first place, then why does it upset you that you can't have it?

This is almost as bad as when they'd complain about the free food in the press box or the media having to park too far from the stadium.

I'm sure there are things they don't like about their job, but these rules probably aren't going to change any time soon.

I agree with this....I don't give a shit about the access...bottom line is, do they have a chance to win? They're just pissed that they can't do their jobs as easy as they wanted to.

Writer: OK, so I must speculate
Fan: Why is the writer spreading rumors and speculating?!?!?! It's hurting the team!!!!!

Fans do care. They're bigger babies than the media

I understand and mostly agree with Tad's point, but the elimination of the "probable" designation is completely stupid. Half the fucking league will now be questionable, and if you don't have access to changing your fantasy lineups at 10:30 every Sunday morning you're pretty well fucked.
