So they lost the big lawsuit, and as a result...they gave a bunch of people a bunch vouchers for a free pair of tickets to GA shows.

I spent half the day trying to get tickets...I was successful getting the first two shows that I tried for.
But I still have vouchers for like 30 more shows, and when I try to get tickets I keep getting rejected because my "vouchers aren't valid" even though I was selecting shows from the approved list that they provided.....

I've been looking around and it seems most people are having the same frustration.

Ticketmaster can't even give away tickets without f'ing up the whole process. But at least I can buy tickets at full price and take $2.50 off the price, because I've got about 30 of those discounts too!

If you bought tickets from Ticketmaster (Live Nation) in the last....10 years or so, log in to your account and check your "current vouchers". That will show you if you were awarded anything from the lawsuit.

This is the approved list of shows that they released today. Again, GA tickets only:

Did the same thing tonight. Tried about 5 of the Tinley Park offerings -- all were rejected. Refreshed the site an hour or two later and every single Tinley Park offering is gone.

I forget exactly where I found it, but at some point during my loooooong process today, I found a link that you can click to sign up for new emails when they release new shows that are valid for these vouchers.

The vouchers are valid through 2020, so hopefully I can something. But there is no way I foresee a way I actually redeem all of these.

Yeah but on another page, they say they are only offering them through May 2017 (due to popular demand.) I seriously hope there is some trading site developed where I can sell some guy GA tickets for $5 in Bufu, North Carolina so I can get something out of it.

Were you able to get tickets to an out of state venue? I couldn't do it.

Guess I'm shit out of luck, though browsing the available shows in my area, I guess I won't be missing much.

I didn't even try that, but I could see them limiting that to "stop scalpers." (which I would be one of, of course.) Maybe I would just need to change my billing address to that area since I don't have to pay for any of it.

It's a good thing you educators have summers off so you can waste time recouping concert slights from ten years ago.

I was able to get 2 for Prophets of Rage
I also got 2 for the Snoop/Wiz Kalifa show for a co-worker of mine

Eventually I tried to get 2 for literally every show at Tinley, figuring I could find somebody to give them to, even if it was some crappy Darius Rucker crap or something. Got rejected for every one.

Now I'm suing Ticketmaster for the badass case of carpal tunnel syndrome I developed today.

What would you rather me waste my time on?

Are you trying right now or just coasting to the line on fumes?

I've over $2k on tickets in 10 years. I don't see anything that says "current vouchers".

You tell me. You're the one who said he'd try harder.

I work year around. I don't have time to worry about ten year old slights. I'm glad that you can fit that into your busy summer schedule.

Took me a minute to find it at first too.

Login to Ticketmaster. Somewhere on the "my account" page, I think on the lower left side, there is something called "active vouchers" on the left side menu.

I found it on iPhone. But I don't think the link brought me to a mobile page.

Where does it say how many vouchers you have. When I go to the page I see 2 codes. One for 2.50 off and another saying free concert. Or does that mean I only have one voucher.

Shitty settlement and I bet they get sued over the way this was handled.

I did get lawn admission to Hall and Oates (why don't they call themselves that these days?). Had not heard of basically anyone else.

they're absolutely coming out on top in this
-they're giving tickets to shows that are 1/2 or 1/3 full, it's not like they're offering tickets to shows that would otherwise be sold (likely)
-Live Nation also books shows at several other venues like HoB, Bottom Lounge...but only shows being offered in Tinley ?
-they're driving an insane amount of traffic to their website
-while some vouchers are free, some are merely discounts that will force people to spend money anyways

they're basically saying: we'll give you free tickets to some shows that we decided. And then it's still up to our discretion whether you get them or not

Was able to snag 2 tix to Hamilton for my mom's birthday. Took 2 hours but worked...eventually.

The tix went on sale yesterday at 10am and received frequent "map experienced error" messages when trying to check out after selecting specific seats through their "interactive map". After refreshing and retrying ticketmaster disabled the interactive map and went strictly to best available but you could at least specify section/price.

I don't understand how they can biff sales such as these. They know how high demand certain event tickets are. Allocate resources accordingly. No idea why they purposely antagonize and frustrate customers.

Because they have a monopoly on the ticket industry. They can do whatever they want.
