I hope you get hit by a car.

All I wanted was for one or two of you fruitcocks to put the thing down long enough to cobble together a concise explanation of what the frigging thing is; this was apparently asking too much.

As such, I vote for the car hitting option.

I'd prefer an actual quasi-human here answer it; otherwise, I'd just type things into Google all day, which I'm starting to think you do.

Don't tell Don, but basically you catch Pokemon and then evolve them. You can go a place called a gym, which is just a designated public spot, and battle other people's Pokemon. There are places called stops that give you items to help power up your guy and Pokemon. You don't even have to move to collect Pokemon, but you do to catch good or rare ones. That's basically it as far as I can tell.

I'm sure you enjoy seeing grown men exploring sewers (dare I say man holes) at night, but I found the site disturbing. Maybe it's an irrational emotion, but it was my first reaction.

Denied. These asswipes are walking around in a zombie-like state, infringing on my enjoyment of life. Get the fuck out of my way.

I've never gone into a sewer looking for Pokemon. You have a strange jogging route.

Yeah, real strange route on the bike path. Do paths by you not have ponds and sewers drains next to them? At dusk it's pretty easy to see people with flash lights in 8 foot tall sewer entrances.

If money shots to the digital face via FF count as "getting laid", well then it happens at least once an hour.

Excellent nomination.

Plus when some misfortune does occur as a result of the Pokemon craze, it's good for a laugh.

You heard about the Tinder/Grinder plug in? Apparently people are using this as a meet up thing with others who are into the game. I guess they're saying first you catch a pokemon then you catch a VD.

It won't let me sign up... too many accounts at once. Have to try again later.

Some of the people saying that Pokemon is stupid and/or gay are fans of golf.

For golfers, I much prefer tales of drunken golf cart drivers ending up in a water hazard. Hopefully they've already thrown a club or two into the woods and made tires marks across a green. But those are just icing on the cake.

its a map based game. using google maps, there are pokemon placed through out the US and other countries. its random. and it changes. there are normal common pokemon and much rarer ones. collecting is part of the purpose of this game.

the characters you find get more powerful the higher up you level. you level by collecting, evolving (pokemon start off as small creatures but evolve to larger more rare creatures...you do this by collecting more of that same creature to the point where you have enough points to evolve them. )

there are what are called pokestops all over the place. this is where youcan go to replenish your catching supplies (pokeballs, poke lures, etc etc)

there are placed called gyms. these are where battles happen. when you hit level 5, you pick a team (red/yellow/blue) and now you get to put your pokemon up against other peoples pokemon to battle it out and basically play king of the hill.

there are other elements but thats essentially the gist of it. you do't know where the pokemon are until you basically happen up on them. there are clues and stuff that tell you when some are near.

I think my synopsis was more helpful but this works too.

Gotcha ... thanks for the explanation ... if you make it out to Lakemoor, maybe I'll tell security to let you get within 10' of me. :D

So as far as the in-app purchases go, is that so you can carry more things, or can you pay your way into being lazy, or is it 100% no questions asked you have to go somewhere at some point to really 'play' the game?

I've never played anything 'pokemon' related in my life (which, honestly, I'm slightly surprised at) ... I think the only thing I've monkeyed with that uses any related game mechanic was 'Puzzles & Dragons' with respect to the evolution of creatures, but there were so many possibilities that it felt far too complicated for an old man to pick up out of nowhere and compete at any real significant level, which is why I stick more to Marvel Puzzle Quest where I don't have to know 1,000 different things, just several dozen.
