I usually get like one or two a year inside my lip. I currently have four of these fuckers on my tongue. Both sides on top and underneath. It is dam near impossible to eat or talk. I have tried the generic medicine from walgreens but that is not working. Any suggestions?

I don't mean this as a smartass. Poor salt on them. I mean cake it on. It will make you cry, but it is worth it. Then rinse with a peroxide/water mix. They will go away quicker and your pain will subside for at least a little while.

I used to get them a lot when I was a kid into my 20s. Probably cuz I ate more candy and drank more soda back then. Somebody told me sugar causes them. I don't think I've had one in like 10 years. But, yeah, they suck.

Candy and soda are much more effective as lures, but I'm sure you know that already.

sorry to get technical, and SHARKy, but canker sores aren't the same as cold sores. cold sores is herps. canker sores is caused by alien probes.

Shockingly enough, leash is correct. Rinsing with warm salt water and/or peroxide not only helps with the pain, but dries the sores out so they end up healing quicker.

Now, its good enough that you can't talk. So what can we do to prevent you from being able to type?

brush your teeth 3-4 times a day and do the same with Listerine. It will clear it up the same as the salt cake and peroxide.
