I'm curious, what's the status of the law on this matter in states that haven't gone one way or the other on the issue? Like, if a trans person in Illinois (to my knowledge the law is mum on the subject here) wants to use the bathroom that corresponds to their gender identity and opposite their biological sex...is that a crime or in some way illegal? The only thing I can think of is trespassing, but I'm not sure how that works with a business invitee at a place like a restaurant or Target.

I'm far more concerned with who the bloody hell is taking clearly prurient interest in as well as the time to check, and exactly why?

I've looked, and found a few cases here and there of pervert men putting on wigs and going into women's bathrooms to...I don't know, whatever it is they do. As in, they are ostensibly not of a gender identity that would warrant dropping trou with biological females, they just get a sexual rush out of it.

So if I was a business owner, I'd be interested in knowing my powers to eject someone for their bathroom choice/use, and I would think any legislation granting the positive right of bathroom choice would do well to preserve such power in some fashion.

The bill in North Carolina is giving absolute power to discriminate against someone based on their sexual preference.

I guess that depends on what they're doing ... I mean, if they're blowing each other right then and there I'm pretty sure there's a law or two on the books that addresses that. If they catch each other's eyes then go home and play with themselves while remembering their chance encounter, I don't reckon there's much that can be done about it any more than one can prevent some weirdo from sitting in a park all day hoping the wind blows the skirt up on some good looking broad so they can put it in their spank bank.
