I hate you. Like, I hate you so much it hurts my bones. You don't give two fucks about baseball, but you're clearly a frontrunner who slurped Epstein. You rail against silver spoons, but you sit in a suite with Theo and cheer like you've always been a Cubs fan. You are a fraudulent douche who should be set on fire and thrown into Salt Lake.

Also, your Cub song is awful.

I actually think Vedder is a real fan. You should re-Douchebag this at Cusack.

I went to school with one of Veder's brothers. They were the Mueller's back then. Never knew Eddie. Just knew of him. Yes I know you're happy for me.

There was nothing knowing his bro they were big cubs fans as I was. But maybe he is now.

I'm assuming they wore the hats because they were black, just like Raiders, and LA Kings hats.

Did any of those artists proclaim to be diehard Cubs' fans to the point that they write songs about them?

I'll bet that JORR never appeared on stage in a Cubs' hat.

He was buddies with Jack McDowell. That's where the lid comes from, I'm thinking? Fuck...the Sox used to be cool.

I actually did see JORR (and his band, the ERA Kings) play at a Gordon Tech sock-hop way back when. (I gave the ERA Kings four starts out of five, by the way. Good show.) He wasn't wearing a hat, but he did have his Joel Horlen jersey on.

I don't buy that Vedder's a real fan. He's from Seattle, right? Even if he is, get the fuck off my TV. Whenever he's in the booth, he sounds like he's too cool to answer a question.

If it was a McDowell jersey, you may have a point.

He was been photographed MANY times in a Sox hat. He is your classic front running, fair weather fan.

We're ripping on Vedder and Murray now?

Damn, if we make it to the second round and face the Dodgers I fear for Bob Newhart. You guys will tear him and his fandom to shreds.

Vedder grew up in Evanston, and was always a Cubs fan. JoeOrr is correct, Cusak is the real DB. Part os the reason the played at Wrigley was because he is a fan. He brought Jose Cardenal out on stage this summer because that was his favorite player growing up. He had a #1 jersey as well.

He was (and still is) good friends with Jack McDowell which is why id wore a Sox hat.

Wasn't Jack Mcdowell in a band or something that wasn't completely terrible as you would expect from an athlete? Scotty Radinsky is still the best athlete/musician. Pulley and Ten Foot Pole fucking rock. I think he is still a bullpen coach with the Angels now.

As a high school kid he worked at Don's Fishmarket adjacent to a (Ramada Inn?) on Skokie Blvd. near Old Orchard. I met some relatives for dinner there in like 2002 and there was a plaque on the wall commemorating his employment. If that doesn't scream Cubs fan, I don't know what does.

Yeah, McDowell had a band named V.I.E.W. with Sox reliever Wayne Edwards, and later he had a band called Stickfigure. I think V.I.E.W toured with someone relatively big, but the music was forgettable (in my opinion--some might disagree, but....meh).

Rad had a nice career and is a way better musician (or, at least, songwriter) than McDowell. He may have been a better athlete, but Blackjack was one of the best starters in the game from 90-95. (Well, until September 1995.) Injuries--and probably innings pitched--caught up with him.

I agree, the last three or four albums have been vomit-inducing and they should probably have stopped making new music after Binaural.
