1. The stupid camera angle over the weekend so they could highlight 2 ad boards behind home plate.
2. Delayed re-plays
3. Constantly showing Bill Murray
4. Grainy K-zone replay
5. Audio breaking up

It's the fucking playoffs and this is local cable level of TV production. Do your job better.

Don't forget showing Derek Law jumping up and down like a homo about 50 times.

I was listening to the radio through 9 innings with my guy Hank.

Turned on the TV for extras. When they kept showing him I didn't know who he was. I thought he was a Make-A-Wish patient.

Let's not forget the refusals to run games against each other leading to a 940 start time on the east coast on a week night.

How will young cub fans learn the heart break associated with being a cub fan if they are never awake to experience it.

I think part of #5 were producers in the truck muting the crowd mics Giants fans were screaming profanities into.

But yes, with Skip Bayless's show not even cracking the 100,000 concurrent viewer mark, they're going to squeeze every single last penny they can out of these broadcasts.

telling me that Heyward would have got to that triple versus Almora was pretty idiotic. That's out of town stupid. John redeemed it a bit by talking about left handed versus right handed, but Heyward doesn't get to that ball any quicker than Almora.

That is probably the worst of everything. Baseball isn't like NCAA tournament basketball. Regular people don't have time to watch more than 1 game for the day if they are showing 3 or 4 games in a day. A full playoff game is easily 3 hours or more. I don't think they have to start both games at the same time, but day baseball in the playoffs is lame and they should be staggering the games so people can flip over and watch the second game while the first game is ending.

With no cable, I listen to the Score broadcast for these games. My alarm is set for 0335 EDT, woke up this morning to the post-game show. How cool is that!?! (So I went to your room, and read your diary)

Who the hell scheduled the start time for these games during the week? It literally works for almost none of the fans of any of the four remaining teams.

You've got 2 Eastern Time Zone teams starting at 4:00 PM local time today and tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the remaining pacific time zone team has to host their next 3 home games with a 5:00 PM local start.

Wouldn't it make sense for the Eastern Time zone teams to have a 7:00 PM local start, and then have the pacific time zone game have a first pitch of 10:00 PM Eastern time (7:00 PM local time)?

The whole schedule is just bizarre.

I think they're trying to schedule for the most optimal casual viewers...If I'm not a die hard Cubs fan, why the fuck would I stay up until 1 AM for a 9 PM start?

They are starting games in most of the markets when literally nobody will be watching.

MLB doesn't care about the people of Toronto or Cleveland. It barely respects the people of LA, but most work seems to knock off around 4 locally there, anyway.

It still throws me why the NLCS is on FS1 anyway...why the fuck would you not put that on a channel most people actually are aware exists?

FOX is trying to build up FS1. I don't recall if it was Richard Deitsch, but I read online that FS1 beat ESPN in ratings for the past week, and they pointed to the baseball playoffs as the reason.

That is probably true, and only because of the MLB playoffs.

FS1 will just go back to losing the ratings battle with the Home Shopping Network once the MLB playoffs are done.

I think Skip's new show is increasing the one-year ratings for his time slot more than First Take has grown the same time slot in a calendar year. Relative to 2015, First Take is down 26 percent, but the time slot on FS1 now occupied by "Undisputed" is up like 400%. FT still does 300K+ viewers, but Undisputed might soon break 100K concurrent viewers with how hard they are pushing it during this NLCS run.

It reminds one of the way TBS/TNT advertised the hell out of the Frank Caliendo show when they had the series.

It looks like even more than ESPN, Fox Sports 1 is building a lineup around people yelling at each other about sports.
