Yeah, not ALL Millennial Cub Fans.

The lack of baseball and Cub history is astounding.

The big "Cubstock" in the park today was disturbing due to the muted response from the throng for former Cub legends like Sandberg,Santo & Williams.

Where were the cheers for them? I never saw Gabby Hartnett play (honest) but I sure the hell know about the "Homer in the gloamin" and about "Fred Merkle's boner" (go on I dare you to make an easy joke!)

Nomination denied.

They should have thrown Billy and Ryno off the bus and into the lake. They never won shit. This celebration is not about them.

Some dude being interviewed on WBBM said he had been a big Cub fan since "Glenn Becker." It is not only the millennial Cub fans who are ignoramuses.

I think the better target for nomination are the idiots doing trust falls off of light poles and statues, and the idiots jumping in the river.

If they're lucky, they fondly remember the Starlin Castro era...

I don't just do it to license plates. I do clocks. 2:34 is my favorite.

If the Cubs put more statues up, the kids would know who they are

I remember the time we got Randall Simon as a throw-in from the Pirates because he tripped a girl running the Sausage Race and the Pirates were really embarrassed. That's not when my Cubs fandom started, but having the sausage-tripper sure helped to cement it.

Mayor Rahm has been a big Cubs fan ever since he saw Ron Santos snag a line drive at the Wrigley Park once...

I like Billy...but this. We're celebrating a winner not 108 years of futility

Nothing guys like Ryno or Billy ever did contributed to futility!

Just because they didn't win shit doesn't mean you just ignore them.

I can understand a 22 year old not recognizing Billy. Everyone should recognize Ryno if they are real fans. He was in the organization 5 years ago.

I know who Pat Hughes is, but I don't know if would recognize him on the street unless he started talking.

I think it's great to include the former stars who came close but only as a side note to the major attraction

But this is the JimmyPastiest thought ever. I get it, Jimmy

I'd have wanted Mark Prior involved. Most Cub fans would disagree though

Your posts on Hughes have been spot on. Although Pat is so good he's fooled you into believing his parrot Ron is a good color man

Well, he was on the street, talking. I just thought adding "and I do play-by-play for the Cubs on the radio on 670 The Score, which is the Cubs' flagship" was kinda weird, because, like, shouldn't we know all that? at least the doing play-by-play part? I dunno, maybe Mitch wanted him to mention the Score.

All that was missing was "and you'll always score at Benny's beverage depot. The lowest prices and best selection in Chicagoland...and here comes the 3-1 pitch."
