Disgusting.

Isn't that the plot from Time Cop?

Alternate thread title could be "Those who think money buys elections"

Not sure about grapes but definitely on the DNC talking points memo.

They didn't spend shit. Even trump claimed self funding is bs. Big corporations through super PACs pay for these elections... And they budget as needed to pay for it

Not sour grapes, just facts. Did you turn the news on any time in the past year? It was 24/7 Trump coverage.

Truthfully I doubt I did, except for election night itself. There are better ways to get the news. So I guess overturning Citizens United wont mean anything then. Just get a candidate to say outlandish shit.

Hmm, most important job in world. 320M people to "oversee". $18T economy. Sounds like peanuts relative to the importance and scale of the position.

Funny citizen's united gets mentioned. I read this morning Hillary made an appearance and speech decrying it. The gist of the piece was that now that the hacking theories and recounts went nowhere she lost due to fake news.

She needs to be more self aware.

There are 241 million people of voting age in America. That means it is costing them $1 to $3 per voting age person. That isn't bad.

Our elections would be quite a bit different without this type of money being spent.

Primaries should take the form of a game show where winners come back on a "Championship Week." TV ratings would be through the roof and could easily cover the funding of the campaign. Alfonso Ribeiro can host.

Probably the best way to save money on the election would to do a national primary day that way it's over on one day and they're not bouncing around from state to state wasting money shaking hands and holding babies.
