Post subject: | Richard Sherman (Again?) |
http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seah ... ur-career/ Quote: Richard Sherman’s weekly meeting with the media Tuesday — his first since his on-field tirade directed at coaches for a play call in Thursday’s 24-3 win over the Rams — grew contentious at its conclusion when he said he could ruin the career of talk show host Jim Moore of 710 ESPN Seattle. Moore, a co-host on the Danny, Dave and Moore show on ESPN 710 Seattle — the team’s flagship radio station — had asked Sherman near the end of Sherman’s press conference about Sherman’s criticism of a play call by Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell (Sherman grew upset during the third quarter of Thursday’s game after a pass from Russell Wilson to Jimmy Graham from the 1-yard-momentarily appeared to have been intercepted). Moore told Sherman that what he didn’t understand is that Bevell is trying to call plays he thinks will work but that Sherman appears to think he has a “better handle’’ of what should be called. “No, I just had a, we had a prior experience (a reference to the interception at the end of Super Bowl XLIX) so we talked about it,’’ Sherman replied to Moore. “But let me guess — you have a better play to call. Let me guess, you have a better experience.’’ When Moore said no, Sherman said “then you should probably kind of stop.’’ The press conference ended a few minutes later. As Sherman walked off the stage and down a walkway that headed out of the auditorium, he passed Moore and said “You don’t want to go there. You do not. I’ll ruin your career.” Said Moore: “You’ll ruin my career? How are you going to do that?” Said Sherman: “I’ll make sure you don’t get your media pass anymore.” Get the fuck over yourself, dude. You went to Stanford, you don't like Roger Goodell, and Deadspin creams themselves collectively whenever you say something, but you're still an asshole. |

Quote: “then you should probably kind of stop.’’ Who knew Richard Sherman was a white girl from Madison who comments on obscure feminist blogs? Sherman isn't even any good anymore and the Seahawks are probably running out of reasons to keep him around. |

Yes I commented. Omg. I care!?!?!? Fuck what am I doing? I can't believe it!?!?!? I'll figure out a way to express how every perceived anti social injustice argument is no different than the worst social justice warrior. SORRY!?!?!? |

No value judgments here, I'm just saying it's gonna be weird when time inevitably devours the Seahawks as we've come to know them and the roster goes from being a bunch of padded and helmeted Ta-Nehisi Coateses to the rootin-tootin'-est bunch of FOOTBAW players in the league. It'll be as weird as the Bears scoring passing touchdowns. |

Pete Carroll goes to live in a bunker in fear of the Trump administration, Seattle hires Nick Saban, and suddenly everyone is ALABAMA MAN! |

Sherman is in that group of athletes where they're elevated as a Mensa member simply because they don't sound like Brian Urlacher. |

When the Seahawks were in the Super Bowl a few years ago and there was all the "controversy" about what he did after their game with the 49ers and Sherman wrote an article that got him a lot of attention, Spiegel said of him "He's so well spoken!" |

And people that think it's pretty shitty are...what? |
