Huh? I'm pretty sure you're not a hypothetical liberatarian. |

Atlas Shrugged is a good book and makes its point well. You don't have to agree with it, but there are threads of truths in it. |

Atlas Shrugged sucks. It's poorly written, unnecessarily long, and full of bland characters and dumb soliloquies. There is no literary measure by which it should be called a good book. Even if you love objectivism and hate poor people you should be able to see it's not very good. There's tons of books that align with my beliefs but that doesnt automatically make them classics. At least nobody gets raped and welcomes it like The Fountainhead. |

Most reasonably intelligent people grow out of their Ayn Rand phase at about 16 or so. The halfwit politicians who use it as a basis for domestic policy are an embarrassment, though their acolytes are even worse. As usual, Neil Peart knows this better than anyone. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ ... n-20120612 |

What if instead of a Muslim ban we simply legalize segregation? Would that make them happy? |

Didn't Ayn Rand live out her last miserable years on federal welfare? |

Well I had a crush on Dagny. The book made a lot of great points. No one called it a classic. I said it was a good book. I love poor people and hate objectivism. |
