I thought the point of chasing storms was to catch video of a killer tornado. But, it's dark now. You can't get video of a tornado at night, nor can you see it make a turn right for you. You're doing it wrong. |

They are fine as long as they are wearing ruby slippers. |

You're doing it wrong. Usually I thought there was other storms around it with lightening that would light it up, at least the ones I have been a part of. |

There are different types of storm chasers. There are the amateurs who chase for video and then there are the professionals who chase as spotters who call into the weather service and have mobile instruments. They have a reason to chase at night |

Daytime chasing can be just as dangerous when dealing with rain wrapped tornadoes. |

He called in to the Weather Channel to report what he saw, and he told them that he was sitting in an area prone to flash flooding. In a downpour. This was no Rhodes Scholar. RFDC wrote: That isn't nighttime. You can see the tornado. This was 8:00 PM in the pouring rain. The gay had a dash cam in his truck, and he could barely see 100' in front of him. beni hanna wrote: Just a couple steps below helmetless motorcycle riders on the organ donation list me thinks. This guy gets it. |

If it's high precipitation, then you're asking to die. I mean most tornadoes take pretty predictable paths. Just stay SW of the hook on RADAR and you're fine. |

http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/28/us/storm- ... ash-texas/ The guy that prompted this nomination was killed the other day, along with two others. It wasn't a tornado that got them. It was a nasty collision in the middle of an intersection, while chasing a storm. Being the first person to send a video of a tornado to the Weather Channel is apparently more important than paying attention to stop signs. If you want to put yourself in harm's way, go for it. But, don't put others in jeopardy. These people should find new hobbies. |

She married some skinny news guy that does the wacky man on the street kind of stuff from New York. |
