Can't jump to block a field goal anymore. Next summer I'm guessing they go all the way and just say you're not allowed to play football during football games anymore. |

You can still just can't jump over the line. If you made contact when you jumped it was already a penalty. We need this rule at every level. |

Yeah they claimed the O line was trying to touch these guys mid air and they would/could flip and break their necks etc. |

A blocked FG is one of the greatest plays in football. Now Walter Payton will have to personally lift someone. Who was even lobbying for this rule change? |

21 FG's blocked last season, 24 the season before that. That makes for a 2.3% average Field Goal Block Rate over the last two years. With an average FG% of 84% over that time, kicking has become way too easy. |

That's what I was wondering...you'd think the owners would be in favor of the extra excitement. If it had been any team other than the Patriots, I don't think it would have even been proposed. |
