Don't worry. Eloy will be lucky to have the career of Doug Glanville.

Smart fan. One of the good ones.

You guys still have a shot at the division with Q.

Doesn't matter. Whoever made this trade is my target

Shut up, Rick.

RPB, I don't like the trade either, but if he puts them over the top into the playoffs, I'll take it.

And don't get too upset, my friend. Always remember... #2016

Trades like this will guarantee we only get to use 2016 instead of multiple years.

I believe Quintana is slightly above average. Left handed Javy Vazquez

He's not worth 4 players. This os a deal you make for Archer or better.

Hopefully Im wrong. (Im not though)

They should have signed two more starters in off season or kept Cahill or something

Jimenez will probably have a decent career

Cease will be good for a short time then fade out (solid prediction for any pitching prospect)

Sounds like GarPax advised Theo on the deal.

Yeah, um, Small Game Javy is a bad comparison when you're hoping for someone to succeed in the playoffs...

A trade the Cubs need to make unless you plan to white flag the season which they can't do and shouldn't do.

Maybe they need to make a trade but not this one. If youre giving up Jimenez go get Archer.

To be fair if Q is good in reg season and helps then get there that's fine. Not sure he will.

The run support thing is in his head now.

I don't disagree with that and the trade does give them a reliable cost-controlled starter for the next three seasons which is something they desperately needed.

I bet the threat MIL would get him spurred them to make this deal.

It's been debated a few times that Vazquez was better than Buerhle on here.

You do realize Quintana has been better than Archer over the last four seasons, yes?

Moving from the AL to NL will help Quintana as well.

Not really. Blocking your opponent from a SP with 3 years control is a key consideration.

Theo rolled the dice. Let's see what happens and hope Q is a solid #3.

It's possible but I have to believe at the Cubs said here's Eloy Jimenez tell us who else we need to give you to get Archer they got it done

If the Cubs were afraid that the difference between them winning the division and Milwaukee winning it was Quintana, Ill buy Theo's ticket out of town right now for him.
