Wtf man? Sex cult?

On a side note I'm not naive enough to think this is something new in the music industry. Rihanna was discovered at like 14 or 15 in the Bahamas by a music producer who immediately brought her to the states to live with him, and "develop" as an artist. Shit's sick. A lot of predators in the entertainment industry.

Stage parents can be enablers of this behavior for sure.

I just think a 19yr old is capable of making the decision of whether she wants to blow R Kelly and let him piss on her in order to sing back up on his next tour. She doesn't need her mom to tell her yes or no.

so if your 19 year old daughter was about to enter into a relationship with R Kelly you'd just shrug your shoulders ?

I hope I am raising my children to the point where, at 19 years old, they don't feel it necessary for me to give permission before they date someone or work somewhere. They can ask for advice and in this case I would have said 'maybe you should go another route'

Would I personally want my daughter to date a man 30 years older who has a known sexual predator history? Of course not, but there isn't much I could do to stop her (at 19) from doing so.

After years of Jewish casting couches, Zanuck, Mayer, et al, we're now going to take umbrage when a black man does it. Check your privilege!

DeRogatis was on Chicago Tonight talking about the scandal in his best Goffian serious voice. It sounded like he was whispering to the person next to him during the Nuremberg Trials. What a pud. Eminently punchable face.
