Or should I have put this in "Shoutouts" ?

Should be a shout out.

Or a DB for the reporter.

DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?

Moron.

I'm sure Danny B will be along to accuse me of "defending" Newton, but does he really need to know her name? The self-importance of these reporters is striking. It kind of reminds me of Bruce telling Ed Lynch that he gives him his job.

Maybe DB Cam for thinking recognizing routes in a football game is somehow akin to brain surgery.

"Rodrigue ended by asking Newton – whom she had introduced herself to on the first day of her employment with The Observer in October 2016 – if he knew her name after she had covered the team almost every day for the past year.

Newton said he did not.

“Jourdan Rodrigue, Charlotte Observer,” she said, and then walked away."

Both things can be true. She clearly has an elevated opinion of her own importance, as most reporters do. "Without me you don't have a job."

I didn't read as much as you probably did, but come on, dude. Denying the stupidity of things like this helps the cause of moron feminists like JDC. Admit sexism when it truly occurs, and it lends credibility.

Who is denying Cam Newton's stupidity? Certainly not me. As far as his sexism is concerned, it's insignificant. He isn't employing the reporters. He can have whatever dumb ideas he wants. And they can report them. Maybe he'll lose an endorsement. If you're looking to football players for guidance on social mores, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.

Really?

I don't think anyone is drawing any larger significance from his idiotic comment. People just care because he's a very well-known sports figure, and his comment was absolutely offensive to women. I'm the farthest thing from a feminist you'll ever meet, but let's not be ridiculous. That shit was insanely offensive.

I would be concerned if he was having an effect on her ability to perform her job. Like if he refused to take questions from her, for example. But he's entitled to his idiot opinions.

God this is so powerful. See, she ends her conversation with the "name, publication" that usually opens a journalist's question. Send this to Heidi Pitlor right now.

She tried to sound football smart & it backfired on her, asking some nonsensical question about the "physicality of his routes." Dumb-ass bitch doesn't understand the elegance of simplicity.

It's not at all overly dramatic. Cynicism is not an admirable trait.

What he said was very offensive to women. If he had said that to my wife or my daughter or my mom, I'd want to knock his fucking teeth in. There are a lot of reasons to be cynical... this isn't one of them. If you think what he said wasn't a "big deal," you've gone too far the other way and are just looking for reasons not to admit that sexism exists.
