If you think the limit on the SALT deduction is an attack on your state, then clearly you're charging too much for taxes in your state. https://www.politico.com/states/new-yor ... ill-169049 Also, why do New Yorkers keep electing Cuomos? They are dirtier than the Daley clan |

He's just not being as creative as other governors, some of which have floated the idea of having people pay the state money as donations instead of taxes, so they would be federally deductible. |

Yes the states where people actually work subsidize the Trump-voting shitholes that JORR so dearly loves. |

No, every dopey-ass blog called "Pruning the Shrub" or "Obama Like a Boss" has been bleating that the red states are Actually Bad at All The Things while the blue states are Actually Good for at least twelve years now. Alabama hates abortions, yet their sluts get more of them than Connecticut does? You, my good sir, owe me a new epic bacon keyboard. |

While I agree with you about the last 12 years and progressive outlets, they aren't generally wide reaching, but I'll still spring for a double bacon blt, in our coming congressional flip fest. |

A lot of those states produce most of the food and oil in the US, though. Not all are red states (Minnesota and California), but most are. And in many states out West, they government owns much of the land. I understand that the Federal government has a heavy hand in both, but . . . I found the complaints by some Dem supporters after the last election about the "tyranny" of states with small populations disturbing. Isn't compromise built into the Constitution (House and Senate)? |

Exactly, the money in vs. money out really is a simplistic way to look at it as the Federal government owns 85% of the land in Nevada, which also means that the land cannot be used by local interests to generate revenue. This is why we had the sagebrush rebellion and why I support people like the Bundy's (despite the fact they are awful people) when they take an armed stand against the Federal government. (speaking of which, another mistrial because even the jury pools know the government is full of shit) |

A lot of Bluexit dopes want to be rid of the Plains and Southwest. They also love wind and solar power. Where do they suppose those sources of energy might come from? I like making sport of the South as much as anyone, perhaps more than most, but even I realize we have to keep our crazy mixed-up family together. |

Yeah I'm sure MANY people in illusory low-tax jurisdictions like Alabama, Mississippi and Kentucky are discussing their collective robbery of the US Treasury between courses of squirrel and raccoon. |
