This fucking guy. The guy is getting out in October, and he pens a letter to the grandmother of his son asking for custody when he gets out. Keep in mind the grandmother is raising the child because Carruth had the mother killed, which resulted in the child developing cerebral palsy. Hollywood loves those redemption movies where the convict with a heart gets out of prison to develop a relationship with his child that he never met i.e. Con Air. But I can't wait for this one. "Hey son. Great to finally meet you! Sorry you have a cerebral palsy because I had your mother murdered. You want to toss the football around?" |

Someone who is much better at this sort of thing than I am can probably come up with a "Cat's in the Cradle" parody with "Rae Carruth" in place of "Silver Spoon." |

Dropping plans to gain custody. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2261 ... -lee-adams I actually feel a little pity for him, it probably never crossed his mind that what he was doing seemed inappropriate. I do hope that he gets to make his amends someday, in some form or fashion... a few quotes from him below.... "For all involved or invested in this ordeal, please calm down," Carruth wrote in the letter to the newspaper. "I will no longer be pursuing a relationship with Chancellor and Ms. Adams. I promise to leave them be, which I now see is in everyone's best interest." Carruth wrote that including in the first letter his desire to enter Chancellor's life was a mistake and he admitted that was too optimistic, even though he still wants to "make amends with Chancellor and try to be the father that I should have been from day one.'' "I now understand that any notions of me one day being welcome to Sunday dinner is totally out of the question," Carruth wrote in the second letter, which was postmarked Feb. 21. "And lastly, I didn't foresee the media and general public being unanimous in its belief that I shouldn't be allowed to ever have anything to do with Chancellor." |

Nas wrote: Is he really that dumb? What the fuck did he expect? I think being locked away he probably had this idea in his head which may have been supported by other inmates, friends, whoever. He probably isn't the brightest guy, but he definitely had built this up in his mind over time. |

Seacrest wrote: I hope he is re-united one day with his son. Son, I need to apologize to you for some big mistakes I made in my fathering. I hope this allows us to feel closer to one another. My greatest hope would be for you to forgive me. I should have been there for you, but you know, I fucking whacked your mom. |

That last sentence was an unfortunate choice because up to that point it read as introspective and thoughtful, or at least as much as is possible in this situation. |
