Did everyone see this old dip shit making the rounds on the talk shows touting Trump's ridiculous tariff proposal? He was asked about the fact that the tariffs would cause the Keystone Pipeline to be $300 million more expensive. His reply: Quote: "In a can of Campbell's Soup, there are about 2.6 pennies worth of steel. So if that goes up by 25 percent, that's about six-tenths of 1 cent on the price on a can of Campbell's soup," Ross argued. "I just bought this can today at a 7-Eleven ... and it priced at a $1.99. Who in the world is going to be too bothered?" |

I saw that. MANY in the White House are against this but he appears to have the president's ear. |

I mean, isn't that why they exist nowadays, pretty much? |

And quite frankly I wish this country was honest and prosecuted the everloving crap out of the guys like this who profit from major criminal activity without a dirty look. |

Have you changed your position? |

And then there’s this guy... Billionaire Carl Icahn, President Donald Trump’s longtime friend and former special adviser, sold $31.3 million in shares of a steel-related company just before Trump announced tariffs on imported steel and aluminum. Icahn quit his informal White House role as adviser on regulatory reform in August, shortly before The New Yorker reported he had been pushing to overturn an environmental regulation promoting biofuels and renewable energy that was costing him millions through his stake in oil refiner CVR. He said in his resignation letter that he “never had access to nonpublic information or profited from my position.” He said he “only expressed views that I believed would benefit the refining industry as a whole,” and that he was quitting out of an “abundance of caution.” |
