Opening day for the Swans and Buddy kicked 8 goals. He's awesome. Swans beat West Coast Eagles in their brand new 60,000 seat stadium. I had to get up at 5AM to see the game. Pirate link worked well on my chromebook. Great game, this. http://www.afl.com.au/ |

OK OK. Top 8 teams in finals. Top 4 play each other and winner gets bye. Losers play winners of one and done bottom four. Friday night's game was my second team Brisbane Lions against top 4 loser Melbourne Demons. Another thriller. Ds were outplaying Lions in first half so at halftime I went out to see what the weekender Filipino tourists from Cebu City were up to. Came back after a coupla Red Horse beers and Lions were winning. Game was not in hand til last minute as Lions win. The Queen once took in an AFL game in Melbourne. (RIP) UFB. All 5 teams I cheered for have won so far. One Saturday game tomorrow evening and then on to the final four next week. Tomoorow I'm backing Collingwwod against Fremantle. AFL footy is the best game inna world. Fair dinkum... |

Collingwood Magpies easily defeat Fremantle Dockers. Thunderstorm knocked out my satellite receiver here for half the game but it was never in doubt. Final four teams face off next weekend. Watch the archived games at your leisure at https://www.afl.com.au/ Finals replays seem to be held back longer than usual. Only week 1 games are up now. Full games sometimes found on Youtube. Back in '96 I had never watched a whole game of this. Watched two games one weekend in Thailand and was hooked. |

Swans win a thriller. They were winning all game and then went conservative going into the last term and Collingwood almost pulled it out. Action to the last seconds. Sydney wins by one point. So two best teams are in the Grand Final as Geelong Cats murdered Brisbane in Friday's game. Don' miss the final. It's next Saturday, the 24th at the MCG, the Melbourne Cricket Grounds. 100,000+ will be there. Finals averaged 80,000+ for all the games. Buddy kicked 2 goals today. Now in 3rd place all time for Swans finals goals scored. |

Nardi wrote: Are you mocking Noisewater's horsey thread? If so, Terrific! If not, Sad! Then 'sad'. Oz footy is the GOAT of sports. Easily better than the beautiful game and all others. You could give it a go as baseball continues it's decline as a fun game to watch. Rules are easily figured out. What could top that amazing mark in my previous post. And no TV commercials till end of quarters/terms. |

Horrible. Maybe worst rout in history. Swans lose 133-52. It was so bad I went for a moto ride during the 2nd half. They say Biddy could retire but he's still a top goal scorer so I expect he'll play next year. Now on to the end of season for the NRL, the National Rugby League which isn't as boring as regular rugby cuz they eliminated the scrum. See ya next year. |

He's back. Buddy signed for one more year with Sydney Swans. Opening game he scores 2 quick goals and has an amazing kick to set up another goal as the Swannies rout Gold Coast. Gonna be another great and good season. MOGA-Make Oz Great Again Live from down there https://sportshub.stream/aussie-rules-live-streamz/ |

Opening night for 2024 AFL season: Sydney Swans stomp Melbourne Demons. Great pregame with lots of Legends showing up including Our Buddy. What a great season this could be for footy. GWS plays their opener on Saturday. All games eventually available at... https://www.afl.com.au/ondemand Aboot 24-30 hours after the game. Still only one Americano playing in the league and he is a Cult Hero Icon in Melbourne with the Collingwood Magpies. He a very tall Texan, former smallish colletch basketball center. Sidebar The Very First NRL (National Rugby League) game just opened the Aussie NRL season in Las Vegas, Nevada. 40,000 showed up for the Roosters/Broncos clash. 14,000 flew in from OZ to see the game. First Ever NRL game in USA. Don' know if the NRL website has replays as I don' care. |
