She really was a champion of women!

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/ronan-farro ... ein-story/

Farrow explained that he had an interview scheduled with Clinton while he was in the midst of reporting on Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood titan he brought crashing down with a stunning New Yorker report on the extensive sexual assault claims leveled against him.

“Hillary Clinton had scheduled an interview while I was at the height of the Weinstein reporting, and her folks got in touch and said, ‘we hear you’re working on a big story,’ [they] sounded very concerned, and cancelled the interview.”

“Over the Weinstein stuff?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“Over the Weinstein stuff,” Farrow confirmed.

This is over a different book and completely different story

"How could women not vote for Hillary!" Well stories like this would be why. She spent 25 years tarnishing every person who slept with Bill and accused him of something.

Yeah but they demonstrated their displeasure by voting for the guy who was recorded bragging about how he loved to grab women by the pussy. Yeah that will show them.

yeah, but that guy was running against someone who had spent the previous 25 years discrediting similar accusers when her husband was involved. The biggest political mistake she made was not divorcing Bill after he left the White House and she got her Senate seat. It was her attacks on Bill's accusers that made it impossible for Hillary to attack Trump when accusations against him surfaced. Any other candidate would not be in that position and could've delivered a kill shot to Trump's campaign at that point.

The difference is Trump is not a hippocrite. Is anyone surprised he cheated on his wife? He’s been divorced three times, but the Right is ok with it. He is what he is.

She is not what she thinks she is. She got to power via her husband, but portends to be a self-made feminist. She threw Bill’s accusers under the bus, and in this case, was worried about offending Weintstein/Hollywood/Big Money.

She’s a phony, and most people I know hate that more than anything.

Its not the adultery as much as he bragged about committing sexual assault. As far as being phony committing fraud as he did with Trump University is as phony as it gets. She was wrong to throw the women under the bus for sure. Was what she did any different than what Trump did with the Central Park Five? Trump advocated for them to be put to death then doubled down on the idiocy even after they were found innocent.

She shouldn't get a pass but a chick that stands by her man who commits assault is more commendable than the person that actually has committed it.

Moreover, what HRC miscalculated is Trump's behavior matters not at all. If you get on the bad side of the young SJWs (which apparently did) you must be punished and destroyed. They give zero thought to Trump at all. Many were simply done 100% with her.

Clinton was accused of sexual assault as well. Plus with the power dynamic he would have with an intern, most feminists would consider the relationship with Monica (while consensual) to still be sexual harassment or worse.

You can see why Hillary wasn't able to go on the attack here.

It's just not fun to attack or worry about Hillary anymore. Isn't this a bad enough state of the Rodham?

-She was embarrassed by her husband and his antics over and over.
-Her closest advisor Huma, was disgraced by Weiner.
-She lost to the worst President in our nation's history.
-She is reviled by the right in mass, and a large part of the left.
-She looks like hell and appears to be in poor physical condition.

Hmm, that would be bad for this country. I think Nas might be right with his Biden/Kasich ticket. We need some sanity at the top and try to pull this country together with a shared values message. God, now I am just dreaming about something that will never happen.

We're just tearing ourselves apart by race, class, region, gender.

No but Bill isn't her. Its a difference. I understand completely why she couldn't make it an issue. For lack of a better term she was handcuffed.

I'm just stating that in terms of character she is better than Trump. Maybe by default but people that continuously make the point that she is despicable while completely giving that asshat a pass on it is what troubles me. Trump is a terrible human being. Absolutely terrible. There is very little redeeming about him and the list of people that she has helped over the years "Trumps" the number that he has helped by a wide margin.

He may still be a good President in spite of the character issues that he has. If he is then fine that is all that matters in the grand scheme of things.

Eh, I highly doubt it. Per public image was absolutely fucked by the election, and it was already really bad before and during that whole disaster. Her private image is no better. She's tapped out in that regard. Now could she slip into the wake of whatever face the D's push out by next election? Duh. She'll try to recoup whatever smidge of dignity possible, but I would hope for the sake of the party they don't go back to that well. She's a pariah at this point.

Indeed. She's burned too many bridges and fucked up a "shoe-in" after the party spent years and millions paving the road for her candidacy. That ship has sailed, wrecked, and scuttled to the ocean floor where for whatever reason many people play the role of bottom-feeding sea life, continuing to scuttle upon and nibble from her decaying corpse.

This to me is basically where it starts and where it ends for my views of many republicans/conservatives/magas/alt-righters/etc. They just enjoy being a hard-on, taking an infinite victory lap and hoping they can trigger as many lib'rals as possible for maximum lulz. Cheesy.

Sure, but Reader makes a few offhand partisan attacks on politicians and my Cubbies. Most of it is in jest and good natured partisan hatred.

If you are truly right leaning or small government types like you, me and Ogie, shouldn't you really be worried about the state of the big government Republican Party? Let Bernie/Warren fight it out with Clinton.

And moreover, if you care about this country and its future, shouldn't we demand better governance? At least I felt like Obama always cared deeply about this country even if his view of the role of government differed with mine.

If she did, she would have to do it as an Independent. There is no way the Democratic party could endorse her again. This is somebody who has lost Presidential bids to both a black man and Donald Trump.

So yea, an iceberg.
