Get a friend to help... sit in a chair with your head tilted back over a sink, almost like you would if you were getting your hair washed at a salon. Have your friend dampen a washcloth and place it over your face. Next, have him hold you down by the throat and pour a pitcher of water over your face while issuing lethal threats against you and your family members. Hiccups are gone - 100% guaranteed. |

I've found over the years that by holding my breath for about 20 seconds, exhaling and then holding my breath for another 20 seconds or so usually works pretty well. Can make them disappear in under a minute. |

I had an english teacher in 7th grade that if you started hiccuping in her class she’d walk up to you, put her hand out and say “hiccup in my hand.” No one was ever able to do it. She said it was some psychological trick or something about it. That’s about the only thing I remember about her besides she was like 6’ 3” and began my string of bizarre english teachers. Speaking of bizarre teachers, I’m sure Tommy would of thought she was hot.

A day or two after my heart surgery I started hiccuping (apparently a rare side effect) and it didn't go away for an entire week. With a broken sternum. Think about that for a second. And to top it off, to cure hiccups they put me on really strong anti psychotics which I had to take for a couple weeks post op which completely fucked me up. |
