Because they will kill the alligator once he eats her for doing nothing more than what alligators do. The alligator doesn't care how many "likes" she gets on Instagram.

She said in the article she has worked with the alligator for three weeks and has gained its trust. That seems like sound reasoning to me. I don't think there's anything to worry about.

Gators are pretty cool. I think if this was a croc she would've been devoured almost instantly.

Yeah, alligators devote the majority of their tiny little brains to answering the question "is it worth it to eat this?" and as such generally won't bother a full-sized human that registers as such. Crocodiles are less discriminating and will try to drown people. Plus, this gator seems to be a rescue and has probably learned to see humans as food dispensers.

Crocs are not to be fucked with. The ones in Australia are apparently even nastier and more interested in eating humans.
