What is wrong with you? Get a credit or debit card. It's 2018. Just like you probably have indoor plumbing and electricity, get a Mastercard.

If you are going to buy snacks at a gas station then move your car to the ample parking spots that most gas stations have instead of being a waste of space for people who don't want to stare at your license plate for 5 minutes so they can fill up with gas. Don't worry. They won't run out of scratch off tickets, combos, and 144 ounce cokes in the time it takes you to move 20 feet to a space that is literally for parking your car and only parking your car.

I'm going to guess these are the same people that walk onto elevators immediately, and people that pay with checks at grocery stores.

Why do you judge people that like snacks and using cash? It is king you know.

Buy all the combos you want but do it with your car parked in a parking spot.

The only acceptable person who can buy gas with cash must be driving a car that is worth under $1,000. Otherwise, call up Visa or get the Steve Harvey card they give away on Family Feud.

Very intolerant. Sad. You usually are very good with empathizing. I guess not when it is inconvenient for you.

If you've ever been at gas station at the Denver Airport, it is the worst for this situation. There are often rental cars lined up three deep trying to get a pump all while people are wasting away in the snack shop. We have flights to catch!

Woodman's does it right in Carpentersville. They built a second set of gas pumps, and there is no snack store. You have to pay at the pump.

I get the nomination described in the thread title, but you completely lose me on the cash thing being a problem.

If someone is parked at a pump and pays for their gas in cash they arent a douchebag.

What if they just want to buy a quick sandwich?

I sometimes park at the pump, even when I'm not getting gas.

Only when the regular parking looks full and its one of those huge gas stations where even driving through the lot is dangerous. It's a safety issue, Rick.

I agree with you most of the time. However there are some gas stations that charge $.10 less per gallon if you pay cash.

Credit or debit cards at the pump saves everyone huge amounts of time. Unless you truly are poor there is no reason to not use a credit card in this situation.

Oh man, you save that $1.50!

This is a sales ploy same as the candy by the grocery store checkout counter. They make that $1.50 back and more with the impulse buys made at the counter. Nas is a sucker.

I used to always pay in cash, but then they started making you pay first. So that means you have to go into the station twice or end up filling up short. Debit card it is.

Strippers, pizza delivery guys, drug dealers, gamblers - lots of people have an excess of cash. Strongly disagree with them being included in the nomination. Nothing wrong with using cash over a debit card.

If you buy gas, you've bought the right to park your car there until you are done patronizing the business. Sorry, Rick.

But people who check their cell phone before pulling out should be put to death.

I rarely carry cash so I am usually pissed about it. That money adds up.

If only there was a way to convert cash into something you could use to pay your credit card...

Transfer the nomination to gas stations for not allowing cash payment at the pump.

I completely disagree assuming that parking spots are available. That area is for fueling.

Young Nas mastered that in college town. Put the pump on the ground and drive off.

 Or you could save yourself time from depositing in and use it in place of using a debit card. You aren't making a sound logical argument against using cash.

Yup. The "People Who..." nominations are usually gold. A rare misfire.

Park in front of the pump all you want but do not park in the lane in front of the door you lazy fucks. I do not appreciate having to back up and weave around the lot to get out of the gas station because your dead ass can't walk more than 5 feet.

Agreed.

I guess I should swipe my debit card when I'm putting $2.50 worth of gas into the red container for my lawnmower at home, huh Rick?

Sure I am. It is much faster to use a credit card for everyone involved.

Your argument seems to be that people who are paid only in cash, who don't even have a bank account, should pay in cash. I can't imagine how you live in 2018 without a bank account.

Of course you should. There is literally no downside for you to do that.

Not really. If someone gives me $100 it would probably save me time if I just used it up on normal expenses rather than take the time to go and deposit in the bank. That's why I don't think your argument makes sense. It's annoying to go deposit cash. Much easier to spend it along the way. Tough shit if someone has to wait a whole 30 extra seconds because of it. Not to mention paying with cash at the actual register is quicker than paying with a card, for those concerned with their time down to the millisecond.
