Blames his wife...sad.

On Thursday evening, Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked Hunter, “Are you saying it’s more her fault than your fault?”

Hunter, a Republican from San Diego who served in the Marines, replied: “I’m saying when I went to Iraq in 2003, the first time, I gave her power of attorney and she handled my finances throughout my entire military career and that continued on when I got into Congress. Because I’m gone five days a week, I’m home for two.”

“And she was also the campaign manager,” he added. “Whatever she did, that will be looked at too, I’m sure. But I didn’t do it. I didn’t spend any money illegally. I did not use campaign money, especially for Wounded Warriors stuff, there’s no way.”

I saw this earlier this morning. There are some things that tell you all you need to know about the character of a man. This is one of them.

Pathetic. Does not rise to the level of sleaze associated with most Dem House crooks. Or the millions and millions Feinstein has raked in from the ChiComs.

But, it's not about that. It's NeverTrump prosecution and "take the House" maneuvering.
Same same with that Trumpet House guy in NY who was just indicted for "insider trading". LOL. The Dems like Pelosi made this crime mainstream and AOK, unless you buck the Establishment.
That's the message.
Herr Mueller's FakeInvestigation of RUSSIA!n collusion has same message.

The 30 most astounding moments in Rep. Duncan Hunter's 47-page indictment

Number 14 was quite amusing to me.

14. "On or about August 6 to 10, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada and elsewhere, the Hunters spent $2,448.27 in campaign funds on a personal vacation with Individuals 3A and 3B. During this vacation, the HUNTER family bank account began incurring insufficient funds fees until a check from Duncan parents was deposited into the account on August 10."

A cringe-worthy detail. Even as Hunter was allegedly spending freely from campaign dollars, he was hitting his parents up for money.

1. "Throughout the relevant period, the Hunters spent substantially more than they earned. They overdrew their bank account more than 1,100 times in a seven-year period resulting in approximately $37,761 in 'overdraft' and 'insufficient funds bank' fees."

Dozens of Congressmen lost their credibility and seats behind this same kind of crap in the early 90's. His dad was there for that(he's a legacy) and they appear as a family, to be too stupid/arrogant to have taken that lesson to heart?

And what kind of "favors" would he have done for that bank to maintain any kind of account there? Inquiring minds want to know.

Typical.

Can you string together 2 gayer suburban names than "Duncan" and "Hunter". I'm guessing his middle name is Aiden?

True.

He effectively paid currency exchange fees so he could bounce the occasional 1,100 checks with impunity.

This is actually from his government web-site

Principles
- Reduce spending to live within our means
- Balance the budget
- Reform government programs and eliminate waste

Government does not have a revenue problem—it has a spending problem. Federal spending is out-of-control and must be reduced so the government can live within its means.
