Agreed and well said, Bob

A much better investment is SUPER BOWL SQUARES for a softball team with a lot of heart!

Girl scout cookies are great. And cute moms pushing the wares isn't terrible.

Boy Scouts is what’s bull shit. 12 bucks for a bag of pop corn. Fuck off.

All fundraisers should go away, but of everything getting pushed, the cookies are king.... ummmm queen.

my daughter was a Girl Scout up until this past year, and for the last 6-7 years I have always brought a sheet to the office here for people to buy cookies. Everyone knew I had it so I had quite the clientele developed, hundreds and hundreds of boxes each year, and I didn't have to "sell" any of them, people climbed out of the woodwork to come to my office to order them. Anyway, this year people are coming to me looking for cookies and I have to tell them that my GS Cookie days are over, they will have to find another resource and some of these folks are crestfallen about it. I think they liked coming to my office and discreetly ordering 10 or 15 boxes of Thin Mints or Samoas and having them quietly delivered to their office or cubicle like heroin junkies, and now they have to find another non-judgemental cookie-pusher. Some of these people can't get enough of those Thin Mints in particular.

Shouldn't there be some kind of foodstuffs revenue sharing now that girls can join the Boy Scouts? :wink:

Sure, revenue sharing from ice cream should be considered.

When my son was in Boy Scouts I felt terrible about trying to sell the popcorn. So overpriced and not really all that popular. My girls and cookies never bother me for some reason. More of a longer tradition and acceptability maybe?

Anyway, someone already maybe said this but Aldi sells Girl Scout cookie copies that are legit.

The Boy Scout popcorn is a worse scam, but you can get popping kernels at a more reasonable price from them than the flavored stuff that's already popped.

Aldi shoppers say the same about ketchup, mayonnaise and hundreds of other products. They are never accurate and always inferior.

The aldi microwave popcorn is the exact same as the Boy Scouts too.

Anyone hating on aldi is choosing to do so to seem more bougie. Aldi is solid all around and their generic versions of things are better than regular chains generic versions. As close to the real deal as you can get.

Sounds like no one should buy any generic versions then. You lose when you buy Kroger and you lose less when you buy Aldi?

Aldi = Trader Joe's.

There is only one brand of ketchup and and one brand of mayonnaise.

No generic mayo, cream cheese or frosted flakes. Other than that, I think I'm 100% generic on my grocery shopping.
