https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/yoga-teacher-found-alive-after-going-missing-2-weeks-ago-in-hawaii-forest/ar-AABT8Yh?ocid=spartanntp I don't understand how a perfectly healthy person can be lost in the woods on the island of Maui for 16 days. If you just kept walking in the same direction wouldn't you find either civilization or the beachfront in a couple days? I looked at it on the map. If you just walk west (not hard to do with the sun) it looks like you would hit a highway in 2-3 miles. Go north and the ocean is about 10 miles and you would pass several towns along the way. I don't get it? How does an experienced hiker get lost like that for 16 days? |

Maybe she saw a rat and pulled a hammy. |

Article I read said she was found with a broken leg so guessing she slipped and fell somewhere she couldn't climb out of. Another reason I keep my hikes confined to the golf course. Worst case the cart girl should find me if I fall into a bunker. |

Her name is Eller. It's a real shame she's still alive. |

These people amuse the hell outta me. Right up until you realize how much stress and cost they incur on everyone around them. |

She apparently fell into a ravine and broke her leg. |

Sounds like she sucks at hiking and now will get a movie made about her. |

Reading things like she enjoys taking hallucinogens and going hiking. This would kind of jive with her off the wall comments about listening to a voice tell her where to go. Either that, or she has a mental illness. |

If she robbed a bank, instead of missing for days, everybody would be more sympathetic to her as a victim of society. |
