He's lucky Garrett was in a good mood.

He should be used to striking out.

Maybe we should all just agree that showing other people up by preening and strutting isn't "fun" or "playing the game with joy", it's being a fucking asshole and nobody likes to be on the wrong end of it.

I disagree. Get a hit or get the guy out if you don't want someone celebrating. Especially in a big moment.

The Reds haven't had a big moment in decades.

Striking out someone to end the 9th was a big moment in the game.

At my core, I'm an "act like you've been there before" guy. That being said, I don't have an issue with anyone celebrating if it doesn't hurt the team. Beat them if you hate it or just STFU.

i think kyle was thinking, "its not really hard to strike me out guy, 95% of people in the stands and watching on tv knew i'd be swinging at whatever slop you lobbed at me, why are you celebrating so hard. "

Is it passion, cultural, or being an asshole when Strop celebrates a strikeout in basically the same manner?

Let everyone celebrate. Who cares.

But if you're a hitter who stares or flips a bat when you hit a HR, you forfeit the right to get pissed when a pitcher celebrates striking you out. Same for pitchers.

Just watched this again. That was a nasty, nasty breaking ball, and Garrett wasn't even looking at Schwarber. He was yelling and walking towards his own dugout. What a little Bbitch is right.

That is pretty much it right? Can't go both ways so to speak.

His bigger offense was the baserunning blunder earlier in the game.

If a hitter decides to show up the pitcher with a long stare at his HR, followed by a slow jog around the bases, he has no room to bitch if a pitcher celebrates striking him out. He opened the door. You flip the bat too and you might want to be ready for your next pitch to be some chin music.

Love celebrating, on both sides. I love the angry reactions on both sides. Let the passion show.

The Reds should put that ball in plexiglass at the location the catcher caught it.

Totally agree, Strop is a douche....Cubs players have been using the "love of the game" bs for years, they have no room
to complain, what's comes around goes around.

I'm actually not sure this nomination is fair. What if Schwarber just had roid rage? Can we really get mad at him for a mental condition brought upon by PED use?

About time pitchers start humiliating K Kings. Pirouettes when jumping over the foul line on the way to the dugout.

I used to be head of the line in the "act like you've been there before" group, Heck I was the biggest Barry Sanders fan outside of his immediate family.

But, then as I got older and started having a lot of health issues I've changed. I am now firmly in the "act like it might never happen again" group.

The Reds were in the playoffs in 2010, 2012, and 2013. It's not been a real good history lately and they haven't won a title in the Queen city for a long time, but to say they haven't played in a big moment game in 20+ years is incorrect.
