Busch beer offers to match Douchebag reporter from Des Moines Register thinks it is newsworthy to dig up tweets from 2011 when viral star was 16 (what would you have on your tweets at that age?) Smug asshole douchebag reporter thinks he has a huge scoop, brags about it, Busch drops plans to further match donations, and when backlash starts, reporter claims these tweets were a "routine background check" of the fundraising hero Internet, which is always undefeated, digs up tons of tweets from douchebag reporter. Reporter locks account, Des Moines Register says they are "investigating." This won't shock you, but the reporter in question is an ex-BuzzFeed staffer I think it's well known that I'm no Trumpian, but is he really wrong when he calls the media the "enemy of the people?" |

kids are stupid. kids say stupid things. Hopefully its becoming increasingly clear to children that this stuff will stick with you where ever you go. I just don't know how anyone is going to be president in 20 years. the reality though is that this newspaper, reporter and even Anheiser Busch just need to let the dust settle, wait it out until the lynch mob has moved on to something else. |

They were 2 stupid tweets, not class x felonies. As one who was once 16 himself and raised 2 boys who both somehow made it through their teen years I can safely say that MANY 16 year olds are incapable of looking much past 10 minutes in the future, let alone 10 years. Between social media and the idiot media passing dumb social media postings off as 'news' this country in many ways has gone off the deep end. |

The "cancel culture" stuff is obviously a problem, but I sort of understand it as it pertains to celebrities. You really have to just be an awful human being to pull it on some random guy trying to raise money for charity though. |

It's always interesting to see that when someone goes through old Tweets that they almost always have something as bad or worse in their own timeline. It's pretty unfair to say repeating a joke is "racist". With most of these re-surfaced Tweets it's usually quoting rap lyrics or repeating some comedy act. |

Cancel culture and hypocrites is exactly why I fear Trump is gonna win 2020. This is a perfect example. There is a reason there is juvie and kids under a certain age dont have records, they are freakin kids. Also everyone is imperfect and has said/done stupid things.
