All you guys who said the problem with the Bears was the endurance of the D were right. They should be expected to protect the humongous lead their superstar QB gives them after slaying the Saints for 78 yards and 0 TDs midway through the third.

The Bears' longest drive today is 36 yards. 7 drives under 20 yards, 6 of which went under 10 yards. That's more than enough time for the D to get back on the field and execute. The solution is to obviously fire the strength and conditioning coach.

The d can't even be evaluated with this offense. They can't keep energy when they are always on the field and every drive seems like a must-stop. Has to be draining.

Eli Manning would fix this

Bradley Manning could transform this team.

Historically great D has always transcended issues on offense. Anyone remember the Ravens Super Bowl run? As usual, Vegan is making excuses.

I think if you were to ask which is the dumber thought of the two (acquire Manning vs blame the Bears defensive problems on "conditioning") then there's no question it'd be the conditioning one.

I'll repeat: at the end of the third quarter your guy had 85 yards and no TDs. Think about that.

 No. The single dumbest thought of the NFL season is for the Bears to acquire Eli Manning. There is nott another thought or idea that even comes close to touching that level of stupidity.
