Hatchetman, how did you guys elect such a dumb and dishonest beyotch? Camille Lilly introduces a bill that EXPLICITLY makes it illegal to pump your own gas, and then says it was not her intent when she gets ripped for it. https://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/ ... story.html HB4571 Creates the Gas Station Attendant Act. Provides that no gas may be pumped at a gas station in this State unless it is pumped by a gas station attendant employed at the gas station. Effective January 1, 2021. |

I wouldn't be against going back to the old days of an attendant pumping the gas and washing the windshields if it was only $1 extra, especially on cold days. I remember going on vacation to the islands when I was very young and all of us thought it was a novelty when my dad had to get out and pump the gas. |

I would totally pay $1. Problem is they'd have one guy covering 10 pumps and you'd have to wait forever. |

It's going to be a lot more than $1 if this passes, dumbass. |

I can't wait until the crooked ass state passes this bullshit so we can argue whether we need to tip the gas jockeys or not. It will be fun. |

i visited New Jersey a few years back, and stopped to get some gas and without evening thinking about it I got out and started to do it myself, and the proprietor of the gas station almost had a stroke and came running out yelling at me like he was stopping a burglary in progress. I immediately remembered they have no self-serve there and quickly hung the nozzle back up and apologized, but the guy was really over-the-top about it, whatever the purpose of the law it must be a big deal if you let someone do it yourself. |

There’s plenty of dumb bills that get put out there like this with less than 0% chance of passing. Then someone brings attention to it to get people foaming at the mouth. Save your energy. |
