Always and forever policies of accommodation and appeasement do more to imperil world peace than policies of confrontation. Abiding the PRC and their morally repugnant policies because you are afraid of economic fallout or loss of trade is the definition of selling your soul.

And if you cannot be convinced that there is a moral imperative to stopping China, then ask yourself what happens once the PRC gets Hong Kong and Taiwan. What next? The lessons of history tells us that there is no curbing a nation's territorial and imperial appetite. Are you willing to toss Vietnam, Burma and Nepal to the PRC too? Japan and Korea? How about Australia and the Philippines? What will do when they come for Hawaii and Alaska?

Humanity was taught a lesson in the 1940's at the cost of very nearly one-hundred million lives. For us to ignore that lesson not only desecrates the sacrifice of those lives but sentences another hundred million to the same fate.
