Why didn't his partner that’s just standing arm suggest that he get off his neck? Instead he watches for 7 minutes. The cop on his neck appears to be enjoying how empowering it is to put his weight on the neck of a suspected perp. |

Maybe the knee move is an effective way to keep a bigger and stronger human on the ground and under control. Maybe his partner was the third officer that can be seen in the longer cut also trying to hold the guy down. Maybe the officer didn't want to turn his back on the enraged onlookers who multiple times began to approach the officers trying to arrest the guy. 2. How do you establish that he was "enjoying" himself? How did he even appear to enjoy himself? I didn't see any smiling or grinning or anything like that, but maybe I missed it. Now the douchebag running crowd control, THAT guy was enjoying being a little prick. Does everything have to be overwrought hyperbole? |

Because you sure seemed to be OK with this tactic when it came time to compare BLM to the Lansing protestors. |

The onlookers are extremely calm and asking very simple questions. The officer is also standing calmly talking to non violent onlookers. The the cop has his hands on his hip and is rocking back and forth. He occasionally touches the squad car to readjust his weight. The cop doesn't move even after someone comes to check the pulse of the man on the ground. Eve after the man who spent mins begging for his life stops moving and talking because he was likely dead. |

I don’t care if that guy just murdered fifty people (of course he was accused of a minor crime in this case), the cops don’t have the right to kill a man restrained on the ground. We have courts. We have due process. Any decent human would watch that video and understand it’s wrong. Does a guy that resists arrest deserve some harsh tactics. Probably. But in that video he is now restrained, and there should never be a knee on the neck technique. And what these cops don’t even consider is the impact of these actions with the trust of the community that they are charged to protect. |
