Yeah, I know I've said LBJ is a better player than Jordan. But I've never contested the fact that Jordan was more dominant and more accomplished.

That being said, what's being said and recorded after the Lakers won last night is just absurd. There's a huge "LBJ is actually the GOAT" movement in sports media after he improved from 3-6 to 4-6. I don't get it - if you weren't sold on LBJ as GOAT when he was 3-6, what does moving to 4-6 mean? It's astounding.

Think about the argument:

Yeah, I know Jordan won six rings, but now that LBJ won his fourth, I'm starting to think he's more of a GOAT than MJ.

If you're going to make a case that LBJ has something over MJ - as I have done - you'll have to do better than a 4 is better than 6 premise.

Lebron has 4* and Jordan has 6.

I said from the beginning that this farce the NBA put together was specifically designed to give Lebron another title as a response to the renewed fervor for Jordan caused by The Last Dance.

If you are wondering what it is like to hear LBJ get a BJ tune into Bernsie right now. Sheesh. Top it off with a tip of the cap to the smart Adam Silver to get the bubble up and safe.

I'm not sure why a bubble title pushes him to the top when you can make a very strong argument that he's not even the best player on his own team anymore, he had a relatively easy road to a title by facing less than amazing competition in the last two rounds and the fact he still has less championships than Jordan despite MJ's 3 retirements.

Lebron didn't build anything. It's a taxpayer funded school with Nike add-ons.

I was listening to sports headlines today and the NBA championship was third in line behind Week 5 of the NFL and the AL playoffs game 1.

Lebron is like the anti Jordan. The league has become less popular during his run.

The Undefeated piece is one of the biggest pieces of shit ever published.

James has won a fourth NBA title with a third different franchise. Not just any franchise, but with the Lakers. This accomplishment makes James’ connection to NBA history deeper than Jordan’s.

Winning a championship in an empty gym in Florida is more significant to NBA history than Jordan's all time viewership because Lakers.

Quote:
In leading the Lakers to a 17th title, James became the franchise’s latest link of greatness. Reconnecting the Lakers to a grand legacy outweighs the individual accomplishment of what he did with the Miami Heat and Cavaliers and, for that matter, what Jordan accomplished with the Chicago Bulls.

Winning one title with the Lakers is better than 6 with the Bulls.

Quote:
Perhaps because leadership and courage from one generation to the next has been crucial to Black survival in the United States, I put more weight on James becoming part of the Lakers’ long chain of success.

This person is just stupefying.

You try making something more popular when you’re literally hunted every time you leave the house .

Plus he got to play against the inferior Eastern Conference in the Finals this time

There was also that time when he did not see a racist word written on the gate of his Brentwood estate. The police didn't see it either, but could you imagine if you heard about graffiti on a gate of one of your many mansions? That's a lot to overcome.

The people who are trying to argue that LeBron is the greatest of all-time over Jordan, sound like Rube trying to paint Dan Fouts as the best quarterback of all time.

Tell ya what, with Bill Gates' recent acquisition of Proctor and Gamble, which launched him to 2nd place on the list of most wealthiest men in America after Jeff Bezos, we can now place him in the conversation for richest man in the world
