This should be a douchebag for parents who leave keys in the ignition at a gas station while their kid is in the car.

Who would steal a 2001 van?

Why can’t it be a crawl at the bottom of the screen like a tornado alert?

The Comcast alert has a 1980s Speak and Spell robotic voice with graphics to match.

Same thing happened during the Packers game. The alert repeated multiple times. I also don’t understand why the blurry word graphics look like they are from the 70s.

I said 80s, but you’re probably right. My point is the TV Amber Alert is not logical. If I’m watching the Bears game at home in Kenilworth, I’m not going to see this van. Even if I live in the city where it occurs, I’m not going to run outside and look for the van—especially at night.

Now the phone alerts and overhead highway sign alerts are the way to catch this bastard.

I actually thought that’s what triggered the alert .

I prefer children who don’t get abducted.

I don't understand why it's necessary for it to repeat three times. And one came on during The Undoing last night that was a cancellation because they found the kid.

It’s a missing kid people.

Lock it up. Anybody watching this game is better served by 5 min of blue screen anyway.

Is missing the right word? It seems likely at least one person knows where the kid is.

Dude, I got it the first time. Little Liam got snatched at 79th and Roberts Rd. You don't need to keep repeating it two more times during the Holiday Baking Championship pie with egg nog twist bake-off.

Agreed. My point is people sitting at home watching TV is not how you’ll find the kid.

The phone alerts and the electronic highway billboards are the way to go.

He’s been found safe.

A guy watching the Bears game in Antioch saw an alert on his TV, got in his car, and tracked him down in Bridgeview.

I’m also glad he’s safe. Just saying, pick a Tuesday to get abducted next time.

Yes, he’s safe. I took a jab at Antioch at the folly of TV alerts.

As a human and a Dad, thank God he is safe.

I received an Amber Alert on Sunday for Putnam County. I never even heard of Putnam County much less have any clue where it is.

I like kids who weren't abducted.

This thread is funny.

I was cursing at the amber alert last night. Felt like a dick about it and shut up. Then it came back on and I started cursing again.

Might as well send a carrier pigeon
