I don't watch it much anymore. But always on Sunday night to get the football highlights.

The Sunday night game ended close to 1040 or so. ESPN had a fucking soccer game on. Portland vs. Dallas. What? Really? It's still on now at 1140. ESPN 2 has fucking boxing. I think it's a rerun.

What the fuck are they doing? This is a night people go to you and you give us this shit?

Sunday nights are the time to do football highlights to get an audience and you don't do it. That's amazing to me.

You sit up late on Sunday night waiting for football highlights on ESPN? Maybe you can fire up the George Michael Sports Machine.

I don't go to ESPN to watch anything anymore. NFL, MLB channels do a great job covering their leagues.

I can't remember the last time I watched any programming on ESPN that wasn't a live sport. Maybe some of the classic games from the quarantine period earlier this year but outside of that it's been years.

I pay for the Hulu/ESPN+/Disney+ streaming bundle. So I pick up a bunch of soccer world feeds (Serie A, Bundesliga, EFL Championship), some UFC undercards, some golf. I get the PTI, Highly Questionable, and ESPN Daily podcast feeds, and I probably listen to each of those once every other week. (PTI and HQ were standard airplane listening for me while I was still traveling for work.)

Away from that, I can follow NFL news on Peacock as they chop up the Florio/Simms show into segments. MLB I pick up enough listening to XM 89 and reading MLB Trade Rumors.

So I really have no need for the mothership any more.

Glad I cut my cable. From all the highlights I see on Youtube it seems like it's become all about hot takes by woke white guys and Stephen A. Smith. telling them they are being too hard on the white guy.

I've followed the Dan Bernstein advise when it comes to ESPN, or other sports outlets for that matter. Tune in at kickoff, and turn it off as soon as the clock reads 0:00.

I used love Primetime. That and Baseball Tonight in the summer were must-see TV. Simpler times....
