It's cool that Andrea Mitchell is married to Alan Greenspan and no one holds that against her at all. That really should have been more of a career-limiting move.

Not politics. I'd put it in the English Lit section if we had one.

Everyone's in her mentions congratulating her and telling her she's right! She's wrong! Did they not read Macbeth in AP English? This really is a tale told by an idiot.

Well it is a tale told by an idiot... I had to memorize that soliloquy in 90/91..it’s like an ear worm and now the whole damn thing will be going through my head all night. There will be errors in the memorization.

Shakespeare used ableist language. He's cancelled. We're replacing Romeo and Juliet in freshman English with YA fiction about black lesbian teens who are both in wheelchairs.

Lindsey Graham said his prostitute was like Shakespeare, a fellow of infinite jest. No, that's David Foster Wallace

That was junior high.. saw it performed downtown with Phoebe Cates as Juliet. Think it was at the Chicago Theatre. 88 maybe? 89?

While I have no use for Andrea Mitchell, as I was reading this the idiot Victor Hanson was citing the importance of a classical education in part to be able to distinguish between doric and Corinthian columns at the Supreme Court.

Important.

Education is so important, the liberals want to keep our schools closed, indefinitely.

That reminds me, I think I've forgotten some of the modes. I need to remember all my modes! Dorian, Ionian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Locrian, Phrygian, I forgot the last one.

EDIT: that damn Aeolian mode

It would be important to learn that you shouldn’t correct someone who says they are Corinthian just because you think they are Doric or Ionic in a haughty way. Perhaps we need more training in avoiding the pitfalls of hubris. And no, I know nothing of columns except what professor google just taught me.

Yeah, but what would the Greeks have ever known about hubris?

The recognition of beauty is a very important part of education.
