The smear that Carlson is "ROOTING FOR PUTIN" is very easy to make since anyone making it would never "stoop so low" as to actually listen to what Carlson says. Tucker Carlson is a sheepdog for the Republican Party just as Krystal Ball and the DSA and all the alternative media figures are for the Democrats. He makes interesting points and gets funny riffs in, but his solution to any problem is always to elect more Republicans. After all, what else would it be? to elect fewer Republicans?
