In the old days if traffic was bad going northbound on 294 you could drive up the long entrance ramp to the Hinsdale oasis and down the exit one to save a minute or 2. |

Meet me at the Mendota Road Ranger. Is it a Road Ranger or a Pilot. Both the DeKalb Oasis and that stop are both potential stops for me on the way gone from The Fox Valley. |

I don’t know if you’re serious but if you are there you must get a double-breaded cheeseburger with fries and a side of gravy with an RC at Ziggies’s. Punch it with a fork a few times and let it sit a minute to avoid molten cheese blasting on your face. And you’re welcome…in advance. |

Yeah, there was no non-pornographic way to describe it. That was the best I could come up with. Damn. Did it again. |

Depending on my trip I will often go down 39 and get off at 34 and head west. Was more common when my daughter was going to school in Princeton. |

This is probably the most expansive menu I’ve ever seen. Can’t imagine they are able to keep all these ingredients fresh. The double breaded cheeseburger is $5.75 btw https://direct.chownow.com/order/10598/locations/14511 |

The bathroom used to be a small room the size of a broom closet with a bare bulb hanging from a wire in the middle of the ceiling. They put real bathrooms in about 25 years ago. It's much nicer now than back in the day. They must be printing money in that place. The old bathroom is now a broom closet. |
