Apologists: call bad days/plays for what they are. It's okay to admit he makes bad plays even when the pocket is clean. Detractors: Give him at least 25ish starts before we start using the B word (1.5 seasons). Should see progression within that range. If not let's dump him and find another QB who'll probably suck. |

Everyone takes the third game seriously. Just face it: the kid is over hyped and not ready, the morale sucks |

Certainly helped the Pack against the Bucs last year, right about when they could have used a first round-grade starter. Genius move, GB! |

He wanted to go out there first to face the "heat" from the media. I like that. #Leadership |

How does it feel to know theres a good chance the Packers now have two QBs better than anyone on the Bears? |

Including Fields himself. It seems like the entire organization is a train wreck, and if he's calling it for what he sees, then I have no problem with it. Fields is here for the long haul. Nagy/Lazor is not. |

Cbs did him dirty too. Sitting on the bench it looked like he was about to cry. So they went back to him the bench 4 more times hoping to catch him break down |

It takes more than a few games to be a bust or a savior. We should have a better idea by this time next year. None of the rookie QBs have been particularly good this year. Mac Jones threw for 300 vs the Jets today. So I guess we can crown his ass. |

For all the times Fields went for the dorky baseball hat after committing turnovers, I think he wants to play baseball instead. |

Old people here, can you comment on if Fields is actually better than either Vince Evans or Bobby Douglass? I'm old enough to remember them - my earliest Bears memories was the guy from the Lions dying on the field which freaked me out and a radio home game of Bears hosting the Falcons with Jack and Kup on what passed for the call. |

He's better than all the alleged QBs from the seventies and early eighties. Evans may have been closest, but he also had horrible coaches. |

I remember Vince Evans being much better later in his career than he ever was with the Bears for some reason. I was really young when he was with the Bears but I seem to remember him as a guy with a cannon of an arm but lacked accuracy. |

I was stunned when he got drafted so high. |

I think Allen is running too much, they are a real SB contender if he stays healthy..I see him taking a lot of hits too and not sliding. |
