Reminds me of a similar incident with Hog Wild, where they asked a party to leave after three hours because they needed the tables, and ended up having to defend themselves on social media. By the way, the owner/founder of Hog Wild just died of a heart attack (I think he was 54). |

Yep i've never had the actual pork chop, but i've had a few other things there and it always struck me as just "ok " it's also slightly unnerving to have your food served to you that quickly, like they're 10x faster than McDonalds, before you can put your wallet away the food is up |

Agree. The pork chop is pretty good, but nothing else is overwhelming. The speed of service is all part of their mantra. While they don't explicitly say it, its made clear that their place isn't a spot to hang out in for hours on end. I can understand that. |

I was amazed watching a group of guys planning their monthly visit. And beaming. |

For me, Hog Wild used to be the top pork chop in the area, but now I give that spot to Perry's in Oak Brook (and Schaumburg). For the price, though, Hog Wild's chop is hard/impossible to beat. |

That thing was a beast |

They have a massive one as a sign. Why would you get anything else there, let alone go there several times and never get the pork chop? For the record, the pork chop there is really good. Can't answer for anything else. Been there probably 3-4 times and never got anything except the thing they are famous for. |

then why have anything else on the menu ? pork chops only if you have it on the menu, it should be "good " I'm not saying go to a greek diner and order the fresh fish, but if i'm at a place that makes good pork chops, it stands to reason maybe the pulled pork or other meats they offer would be good |

Agree. Even in my crockpot its pretty decent. Not great, but good. I wouldn't get the fresh fish or the pulled pork at a greek diner, but yea for Hog Wild to fuck it up is pretty silly. |

But at least I learned to stop ordering anything but the pork chop after one visit |

I had a fantastic ancho-chile rubbed bone-in chop at a Bobby Flay restaurant. One of the best meals I've ever had. Way better than Ditka. It inspired all my recipes for smoking pork since. |
