For assigning forfeits if teams cancel basketball games due to Covid. https://247sports.com/college/depaul/Ar ... 178739960/ Quote: The DePaul men's basketball game scheduled for Monday, December 20th at Wintrust Arena versus the Creighton Bluejays has been cancelled due to positive COVID-19 results within the DePaul program.
Per new 2021 Big East Conference policy, DePaul has forfeited the game and a loss will be assigned in the conference standings. Creighton will be assigned a win. The Big East policy states that if a conference game cannot be played on its originally scheduled date due to an insufficient number of available players (including as a result of COVID), that team shall be deemed to have forfeited with a loss assigned to that team. A win will be assigned to its opponent. The win and loss will be applied to the conference standings. |
