They break in at a crucial point in Dateline for a "Special Report." I'm figuring Putin nuked Warsaw or something but no, it's about Barbara Walters. What the fuck!

was it a good dateline? I only catch Dateline on the podcast they push out to their feed, usually the week following broadcast.

I’m guessing an attractive white lady was either the perp or the victim.

I was watching dateline too when this happened like you. I thought the same as you. Something big here. But...no.

I agree. She was and important lady in news media. But it wasn't necessary to interrupt this murder mystery on dateline.

She was 93. That's not tragic to die at that age. She wasn't a queen.

Didn't realize we had so many Datelineheads in the house. Me, once Stone Phillips left, it was over.

NBC broke into programming to announce Tim Russert's death, too. Barbara Walters is a more important figure in television history than Russert, but his death was unexpected, so I guess they even out.

The white lady as perp Datelines are the best. And the Snapped series, which is always women killers.

Any woman can killer her husband/boyfriend/whomever and get away with at most a few years for manslaughter, if they go into willing to play it the right way (he beat me, we were fighting and i had to defend myself, yadda ,yadda, yadda). In Brentwood where I stay when I'm down in Nashville they still talk about Martha Freeman, wild ass story:

Image

dumb-ass was offered a sweet plea deal to testify against the mexican in the closet and she rejected it and instead of getting out in 6 years she has to do at least 51:

The attorney Glenn Funk who advised her against the plea deal--her other atty smartly said to take it--eventually became and still is top prosecutor for Davidson County/Nashville. He has ambitions of higher officer, might have run for mayor in the primaries before. Probably why the story makes the rounds every few years.

We turned it off after about 30 minutes on Baba WaWa. It was a decent episode so will have to try to find it on Hulu or something.

It just goes to show you how far up their own ass the media is when they find it appropriate to break into a television program to tell you that a retired interviewer with a speech impediment passed away but their network barely even covers the death of the Pope who tried to save the Catholic Church.

Yeah, because the Catholic Church is irrelevant to anyone who doesn't belong to it. Just like Twitter.

I don't think NBC will have Giangreco and Janet Davies on like they did last year, so that sucks. I'll have to check with SHARK though.

Hey, look at it this way. When your guy Trump bites it I'll bet the network gives it wall-to-wall coverage...and I'll bet you bitch about it.

Two types of people watch Dateline:

A. Those who want to kill their spouse; and
B. Those who think their spouse wants to kill them.
