Watching a documentary on it now. I don't remember it being this bad. holy shit what a mess. We spent $20 billion to prevent it from happening again. Immediately thought why the fuck do we care, why rebuild at all. Ran the numbers, and it only comes to $25k per house. It's literally cheaper to keep black people under the ocean instead of moving them to somewhere more stable. Just wow. |
