What happened to that? That's how I knew Pele, not like as a personal friend, just as a casual acquaintance.

I spent every weekend watching that skier who probably died wipe out for the amusement of the American public.

The skater who landed short plowing into those barrels was also a highlight.

I also miss the "Superstars" tug of war.

Vinko Bogataj. I got the Agony of defeat guy right as a trivia question.

Superstars was one of my favorites.

Kind of nuts that Saturday afternoon bowling was a cornerstone of ABC Sports all the way up into 1997.

Yeah, that was rough too. And people wonder why YouTube is a thing now.

I visit this forum to make me feel young again.

It's not hard to do, based on the input.

Was it Gabe Kaplan?

There are a lot of mustaches and sunglasses happening in that picture.

Surprised that that philistine animal Curious Hair isn't on here crowing or barking or squawking about how hot his tv wife was. She was hot in Honey, I Ate the Kids, but not in the 70s.

We should have a way to tag people so they know they being mentioned. RFDC victimized me with a hilarious line about Illini football once, and I saw it like two years later :x I think the Inebriated Rodent did the same.

if i remember correctly, Kaplan was a pretty good athlete on those Network Stars shows. I remember he made Robert Conrad his bitch in a running race one year after Conrad had been talking some serious shit and Howard Cosell was loving it.

I remember her being flat as a board. (No pun intended.)

How did you know that in the summer of '95, I developed a crush on Mrs. Kotter from watching reruns on Nick at Nite? Am I really that predictable?

 I think I remember talking about it with you. She actually is way out of Gabe Kaplan's league in the show, and even further out of Rick Moranis's league.

Was that Chris Schinkle on the broadcast? Or was it the "Ten Pin Tattler"? Where is Dick Hoover when we need him most?
