For booing Jerry Krause during the Ring Of Honor ceremony. Classless! https://youtu.be/gxd8uPh2Fz8?si=DHfFypuJdY8ptU7M Worst part is that his widow was in the building for it. |

You were able to deduce that from the 4 second cutaway of her. Brilliant. You serve a purpose here, I'm sure. Haven't figured it out yet, but there must be some reason. |

I didn’t hear Norm Van Lier’s name? Didn’t he NOT receive a Johnny Red Kerr living funeral celebration invite? |

My favorite Krause story is the one Steve Kerr told about Krause going on spy missions by turning his Bulls shirt inside-out instead of just wearing an unbranded shirt. |

Rings of honor are meant to honor those players not good enough to get their jersey retired and whatnot, right? Won't that just embarrass players not invited to the ring. Like for example do we have to carry out wellness checks on Ronnie Brewer or Keith Bogans? No jersey in the rafter nor no invitation to the ring (presumably). |

"Team that just won 3 straight titles could have won a 4th title" is certainly an indefensible argument. It's true that Jordan didn't play in the era where players in all sports can play until 45 as good as they were when they were 25 but Jordan had just averaged 32.4 ppg in the playoffs in 21 total games and averaged 33.5 in the NBA Finals. That's pretty good for a guy who also played 80 regular season games half of which he didn't have Scottie Pippen. |

I’d boo some fake-ass ceremony that Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman couldn’t be bothered to attend too. They’re just boos, at a sports event, fans didn’t form a line to piss on his widow. |

Does anyone seriously think the substandard Sprewell Kinicks or the gimpy Robinson Spurs were going to beat the Bulls in '99? |

What is the takeaway though? Never honor Jerry Krause because fans will boo his widow? |

Here’s a hot take: I don’t think she cried from the boos. No way she reacted that quickly at her age. I think she was overcome with emotion heading into the evening and the smattering of applause made her realize Krause isn’t as hated as she’s assumed. She starts tearing up, camera cuts to her and BOOM…narrative |

Parkins is right on this one. May I remind you that when Bill Wirtz died, he was loudly booed through his moment of silence. Not years after he died, but days after, in front of his whole family and the rest of the sclerotic organ-eye-zation that still venerated him. And the reaction to that was "well, that makes sense." Pearl-clutching over booing a figure as onerous as Jerry Krause, whose personal and professional unlikability has been a key part of dynasty Bulls lore, is just representative of the weird genteel streak in NBA fandom where no fan is ever supposed to interact, misbehave, or otherwise behold what is before them. It's acceptable when Hawks fans do it but not when Bulls fans do it because going to an NBA game is supposed to be like attending a performance of Hamilton. |

I’m also sure she was aware the “breakup” of the Bulls was a big thing and people didn’t like her husband. I’m sure she’s aware of some of the things Jordan has said in the past about her husband. She’s not stupid. |
