This idea is so stupid it is stupid. The game hasn’t lost appeal because Judge can’t bat in the situation the Yankees want him at the plate in. The game has lost appeal lost appeal because each game has 20 strikeouts and 10 walks, starting pitchers don’t complete 5 innings, and a parade of 4-6 relievers pitch in every game for each team.

The solution is easy. Each team is limited to 4 pitchers per game. You’ll see K’s and walks drop drastically when a guy has to get into the 7th inning each start.

Or they could just play the game how it's supposed to be played and stop inventing rules that change everything.

What do you mean by "'fans' like you"? People who hate baseball?

I wouldn't say I hate baseball. I would say I'm not interested in baseball. I've tried to watch and after an inning or two I'm out. I used to get the mlb.tv package because I'm a sucker for daytime sports working from home but eventually I found Dan Patrick and The Price Is Right to be more compelling.

Right. So MLB shouldn't make changes to appease people like you who "aren't interested in baseball" (your words) that will destroy things about the game that are important to people who are interested in baseball like Douchebag and KDdidit.

If I asked you to make ten changes to the game that might make you more interested and Rob Manfred implemented them all, how many more games would you attend? How many more innings would you watch?

I would say you are different than Brick. You don't hate baseball. You hate what baseball has become. That's the same way I feel. It's what One Post expressed as well.

Is there a way back? I don't know. But any changes in the game should be focused on the de-emphasis of the strikeout and the walk, i.e. emphasizing more balls in play.

Also any adult or kid who plays with a sliding mitt should be banned from baseball for life.
