Trolling has it's place. The truly annoying ones have, for the most part, filtered out with the exception of the Riles/Nos ones. Again, one should remember that there is a difference between trolls and characters. |

Another glance at the thread title would indicate that my constant and seemingly unrepentant abuse of Standard Written English may be a worthy candidate here. |

How's that Columbia education working for you? Unfortunately, it seems, all too well. Higher Education Fans, I think my expertise in the realm of colleges and universities will help shed some light on the above exchange between suckers playground and The Original Kid Cairo, two frequent posters on the Chicago Sports Fans Message Board. While it is logical to assume that OKC has simply made a spelling error in writing "Columbia" and is perhaps therefore really talking about a Colombian University such as the University of Bogota or another similar institution, I don't think OKC, who is known for his anality on all matters grammatical and spelling-related, would be a likely perpetrator of such a mistake. Similarly, while it is perhaps even more likely that one would assume Cairo refers to Columba University, the top-flight Ivy League institution in New York City, we can dismiss this option almost solely by considering the pervasive intellectual torpor of suckers playground's many posts! I don't want to say sp is a little slow, but let's just say the merry-go-round on his playground can't complete a full turn without getting lost! Anyway fans, I believe the "Columbia" in question to which OKC refers is none other than "Chicago's Own" Columbia College, which employs nothing but adjunct faculty members for its teaching staff. Mystery solved! Thanks for your attention, fans! |

Jump the shark/nuke the fridge. Either way, a tad annoying. |

I probably shouldn't worry about it but I can't understand why someone needs to have so many different log ins....The only difference is the names, because the writing style of the Nos/Riles mults is still the same. |

Acknowledging you have a problem is the first step to rehabilitation. The good news is you are not alone. Few of us are immune from this message board affliction. Maybe those of us with writing backgrounds should form our own 12-step group. |

A 12-step program would be nice, but unfortunately I think I'd have to follow through it before I could be of any use to anyone. |
