Post subject:  DBOTW (Week 50). Now with more Governors!

Well, good morning there sunshine! It’s Friday, and it’s time to vote for some Douchebags! Are you ready? No… hold please.
Ok now we’re ready to vote for some douchebags! Last week, Week 49, delivered us Sharon McDonough, animal-abuser. This sad woman starved and killed puppies to get off on a power trip. Yikes. She is now going to appear in the 4th quarter Semi-Finals in just two weeks! How exciting! Are you pumped up? I know Frank’s girlfriend has to be!
This week we have Word Spreaders, former Governors and LSD Drivers, so let’s get to it!

Joel Osteen: W_Z has a soft spot for the “Christian Herd” and doesn’t like seeing them get taken advantage of. Joel Osteen, megachurch dude, stands accused of using the Christian Connection and positive message to sell books for $24.95. While some find his message to be uplifting, positive and meaningful, others think he is selling false hopes and promises that he cannot keep. We (that’s the Barry Rozner Royal “we”) here at the DBOTW home office have found that there is no shortage of people selling this message, and no shortage of people willing to buy it. But does that make Osteen a Douchebag, or is he just making people happy?

People who use the turning lanes on LDS as ragular lanes: Well, if he couldn’t bring proper spelling, he at least brought us the fire and the passion. This nomination from crosscheck is for the rude driver who uses the turn lanes to advance past the rule following population. He wants your semen to turn into acid. I see this nonsense all the time at the 83 and 290 merge. I get how he feels, but the world is always going to be full of inconsiderate asshats who do whatever they feel like with no regard for their fellow man anyway, so really, is this douchebag behavior… or normal learned behavior? You have to vote!

Bill Belichick: Bill Bel was nominated by spmack for the failed 4th and 2 conversion at the end of the Pat/Colts game. There’s plenty to argue about here, was it the right call, was it a bad spot, should he have trusted his defense and so on, but I think that most of us can agree that for the most part Bill Bel is a douchebag. What’s with the hoodie dude, you gonna rob a liqour store at halftime or something? But let’s put this all behind us and consider this vote based only on the merit of that one particular play. Was Belichick a douchebag for trying to get the 1st? Or was he just trying to win the game? Your call CSFMB.

Whoever keeps casting Sarah Jessica Parker: This seems to be related to the new SJP movie coming out. Darkside nominated her because he believes her to be the most unattractive leading actress around. Last time we (royal we, dude!) saw a face like that, it had a feed bag attached to it. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who thinks she’s actually attractive. Maybe she’s in the wrong movies. Maybe she could be in Black Beauty, or Moonbiscuit or whatever that horse’s name was… Seabiscuit? Whatever, whoever is responsible for this abomination is up for the vote, which way is it going to go Chicago?

Former Governor Ryan: conns7901 always seems to be in the douchebag of the week thread. This time, he nominated George Ryan for claiming that he should be entitled to the pensions he earned before he corrupted his office. Ryan is a federal prisoner, a man who while holding the highest office in Illinois sold his influence and a man who ultimately may be responsible for the deaths of a family full of children. But, should he be entitled to the pension he paid into before he turned into a piece of shit? How awesome would it be to see the Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich Douchebag of the Year Award go to yet another Illinois Governor? It’s up to you, Chicago.

There's your nominees for Week 50. Please post your complaints below. I will certainly read them and care about them and your nomination that didn't make it to this poll and I will tell you I will try to include your crappy nominations in the future but really it won't change anything.
Thanks!

Lighthearted week, relatively, in DBOTW world. Gladly cast my vote for whoever keeps Sarah Jessica Parker employed.

Although as Peter Griffin would say, she should compete in a hot body, weird face competition

I have to say, I enjoy the lighthearted ones man. I don't like ones like the Fort Hood shooters and stuff like that. To me this is supposed to be fun.

Write in votes are commonly known as "New Nominations" a.k.a. new threads. Make your nomination, man.

I went with ex-Governor George Ryan, in large part because this old man's defiant, arrogant and pompous. He'll never fully admit he did anything wrong, even though a jury and the court of public opinion said he was as corrupt as any Illinois Governor...

My god, has it really gotten to the point where we pretty much consider ANY governor to be corrupt?
What happened to us, Illinois? How did we let the only clean, non corrupt illinois politician get away? We need Obama back in Illinois!

I thought it was your fault when I read the poll. But I figured it out when I read the post.
