Good Morning CSFMB, it’s Friday and it’s time to vote for some Douchebags!
Thanks go out to Elmhurst Steve, who was kind and generous enough to guest host last week’s Douchebag of the Week Award. He managed to do it without pissing off a whole bunch of people, so that’s pretty awesome. Right?
Well, last week’s big winner was Mel “I NEED A WOMAN” Gibson, whose taped rants were entertaining before B&B overused them to the point of nausea. Congratulations Mel, you’re entered into the 3rd quarter Semifinals, where you will have a shot at becoming the honorable Former Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich Douchebag of the Year! Best of luck, Mel.
Buffalo Grove Trustee Lisa Stone (the Herald’s OG Thread): Every town in America has a loony toon Trustee. Nick, a former trustee here in the ‘Moor was fond of getting shitfaced in Buddy’s on 120 and telling me what a C U Next Tuesday the President was, how much of a C U Next Tuesday his wife was, the bartender, the femailman, pretty much everyone. Anyway, Lisa is a bit rude and overbearing at the BG meetings and has earned herself a bit of a rep as a tinfoil hat chick, and a nomination from C_Howitt_Fealz. The comments section has been taken over CSFMB style, bearing a striking resemblance to the OG thread.
3 Blackhawks #55, #24 #36: A douchebag nomination for some Blackhawks from the boards only self admitted Red Wings fan, SlapShot Ed, so take it with a big ass grain of salt. Anyway, it seems that these fellas were contracted to appear at a local shop and sign some stuff. They held out for more coin and didn’t end up doing the event. I already blew this joke in the thread but isn’t that Just Ducky?
Hoarders: Darkside nominated Hoarders for putting themselves and their neighbors at risk with their packratty habits. Some have mentioned that this could be the result of a legitimate illness, but others have pointed out that much of this is just people who are lazy and slobby. This nomination came as a result of a woman in Skokie who died and was buried under tons of shit.
Road Construction Laborers: Nominated my mrgoodkat for striking right in the middle of a project. His point was that these laborers were already well compensated for their work. This led to a nice debate about what’s fair and unfair to laborers and to the average Joe. Some think these workers are just using leverage to better their situation, which any good capitalist should do.
Judge Fred Forman: Nominated by suspected DeganDave mult koach klaus for giving a very lenient sentence to Lora Hunt, the woman who killed a motorcyclist because she didn’t see her stopped on her motorcycle at a red light because Hunt was doing her nails instead of watching the actual road that she was travelling on at 65 mph. Nothing funny about this.
